In Paris, if madame wants to buy a vintage watch, madame visits L'Horlogerie Pour Dames, on Rue Madame, where a French monsieur called Antoine has assembled a large collection of watches, all of them vintage and all of them just for her. I recently paid a visit to L'Horlogerie Pour Dames, and here's a look inside.
The small boutique was once home to Antoine de Macedo's entire stock, replica watches for both women and men, until one night the Parisian retailer decided to divide his formidable collection and create a special place just for selling special women's pieces.
ADVERTISEMENTWomen should have their own boutique, he thought, rather than having women's replica watches restricted to one corner of a male-focused fake watch store (as is too often the case). On April 1, 2014, he moved all of the male-focused and unisex replica watches 200 feet down the road to a separate store. And at 46 Rue Madame, it's been ladies-only ever since.
L'Horlogerie Pour Dames carries a diverse range of replica watches dating from the 1930s to the early 1990s, from marques such as Jaeger-LeCoultre, Piaget, Vacheron Constantin, and Patek Philippe, to name just a few. The classics are there, of course, including some serious mechanical pieces powered by minuscule manually-wound movements such as JLC's Duoplan and Cal. 101, and there are a ton of choices when it comes to secret watches, bracelet watches, ring watches, and high jewelry pieces too.

But there are more than a few surprising models too, like this 26mm Universal Genève Uni-Compax chronograph from the 1950s, an era when the complication was assuredly manly.
You should definitely visit yourself if you ever have the opportunity, but for now we've put together a little virtual tour of the boutique, complete with some highlights from the collection.

A yellow gold secret Jaeger-LeCoultre bracelet fake watch with Duo-Plan movement, from the 1940s.
You simply flip up the gold top on the bracelet to reveal the tiny fake watch underneath.
